Before you meet, read up on current events and think about good topics to discuss beforehand. Find out details about your dates hobbies and ask open-ended questions. Yes and no questions don't inspire a good conversation. Build on your dating experience by talking about upbeat topics.

Corny One Liners

Don't use a silly opening line. "Is Heaven missing an angel?" is guaranteed to make anyone run a mile.

What I Do Hate Is;

Topics to avoid are things you hate, your ex partners, unhappy aspects in your life. Be careful not to use baby talk and to chatter incessantly.

We are All Human

Try to set your date at ease. This can be done with friendly compliments, or if they are especially nervous, or have got lost, or had some other mishap empathise with them. You can then move the conversation on to an observation about your location. You could mention what you like about the atmosphere or the food. This will then lead to a discussion about other things you like to do or what other events are happening in the area.

Always tell them you're enjoying their company.

Now That Is Just Flattery

Acknowledge something you honestly find attractive about them.

Use eye contact to show them you're interested

Be easy going, if you act too reserved it makes getting to know hard work, which is not a good start.

Keep It Clean!

One of the quickest ways to make a date feel uncomfortable is to be overtly or explicitly sexual, so tone it down.

Don't grill your date and if they aren't comfortable answering any of your questions, just move onto a new topic.

Don't be shy, after all you have got to know your match a bit through your messages so by now you should have plenty of topics to follow up on when you meet.
